By default, automatic emails (order confirmation, invoice email, etc.) are sent from a Plug&Pay email address. You can also change this address to your own email address. π«
To do this, you must change the DNS data of your domain/email provider. You can read how to do this in this manual.
Activate your own email address in Plug&Pay
Log in to your Plug&Pay account and go to Settings > Email settings.
Under DNS Settings, enter the email address from which you want mails to be sent. This will replace the default Plug&Pay email address.
Click on save to activate your email address.
Changing DNS settings
After activating your email address, an overview of all DNS-records will appear. You'll have to add or change these indicated records with your domain/email provider.
In this step, you will specify the email address you will use for all Plug&Pay emails with your domain name/email provider.
Most providers allow you to log in and change the DNS settings yourself. If there is no option for this, or you don't want / can't do this yourself, you can contact your provider so they can do this for you.
The following records need to be added:
Create a TXT record pointing to v=spf1 include:mailgun.org ~all
Create a TXT record pointing to k=rsa; p=MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3DQEBAQUAA4GNADCBiQKBgQDJKq56wrrrJRBdaX4n72vTbfjrmn8JPVaYXTK2jutp9YLRP+omRBgVRTcGmtDhB1ccyqnsuGoim2hNNM3xgqB8VQaajPHHZ65dnCR8XsGtoKhk66q1S1Bd/TivbyZQmDlF4knqx5/kaodiZPn8bWqtkdchY4ymD/ikwyG9mTaAJwIDAQAB
β
Furthermore, you also need to add two MX records for the subdomain mg
Create an MX record pointing to mxa.mailgun.org
Create an MX record pointing to mxb.mailgun.org
It can take up to 24 hours for DNS records to be modified. If everything is set up and processed correctly, you will see all the checkmarks in Plug&Pay in your email settings in the DNS overview in the left-hand column.
If that's the case, then your email address is set up correctly and you're done! π
