Woohoo! Good job :-)
You can ignore the message below! Because you just gave Mollie permission to access your Plug&Pay account, you won't need to use these API-keys ;)
Just make sure if you have multiple website profiles linked to Mollie, that you select the right profile via the dropdown menu!
4. Create your first product
Your payment page obviously starts with a product for people to buy. Start by creating your first product! You can do this by going to Products in the menu and clicking on 'Add product'.
Under General, enter the name, description and product group. Indicate whether it is a physical product and if stock is limited.
Under Prices, enter the price for the product. Tick whether the price of the product should be with or without VAT and the percentage of VAT. You can also indicate here whether the product is a subscription or payment in instalments. You can also set quantity discounts or a promotional price here.
Under Advanced, you can change the SKU or information for your ledger account. You can also upload terms and conditions for the product here.
Do you sell a product that can be downloaded? Under Downloads, you can add files which will be shown on the standard thank you pages of Plug&Pay.
Under Images, you can add images of your product. These will be displayed on the checkout.
You have the ability to add custom fields on your checkout page. Keen to learn more about this feature? Be sure to read this manual.
5. Create a checkout page
Now that you have a product, it is time to create a checkout page so you can actually start selling your product! Go to Checkouts and click on 'Add checkout'. Select the product you want to make a checkout page for.
Fill in the desired fields under General. Give a name to the checkout and URL. You can choose to use a different thank you page in case you don't want to use the standard Plug&Pay thank you page. By enabling the slider, you will activate your checkout.
Under Advanced, you can determine which fields you want to be displayed on the checkout page. If you have created a custom field, you can choose to enable them here.
Additional payment options, such as hiding the VAT amount, can be enabled or disabled here. Under this tab, you can also add a webhook or Javascript widget. For webhooks, read the following manual: Setting up a webhook in Plug&Pay.
Under Statistics, you can view the statistics and conversions of your checkout page.
Under Upsells, you can set the one-click upsell flow. Read the following manual to learn more about this feature: Setting up the one-click upsell.
You determine the look of your checkout page under Layout.
If you click on Preview, you can view your checkout page!
6. Test your checkout page
You can enable test mode in Settings > Payments. If your Plug&Pay is in test mode, you can go through your checkout page without actually having to make a payment yourself. Do this to make sure the checkout page is correct!
7. Ready to go live?
Did you test your checkout page and is everything working as it should? Are you ready to go live with your checkout page?
Make sure your checkout page is activated by going to the switch in the settings under General at your checkout.
Check if test mode has been disabled.
In that case, you are ready for it! π Share the URL of your checkout page and reap in those first payments!
